This year is already flying by and we can hardly believe it’s February! We’re excited for all the fun decorations and special treats that come with Valentine’s Day, but there are lots of other ways to help spread the love. That’s why we wanted to share a few other things we have marked on our calendars!
Even though we hoped that Groundhog Day would promise an early spring, this month is full of things to celebrate. Some of you might be keeping up with (or remembering to finally start) those New Year’s resolutions made back in January. February is also Black History Month to honor important people and events that moved our nation toward equality.
February 17th is National Act of Kindness Day and we want encourage everyone to participate, even with the smallest of gestures. This year, we’ve decided to deliver cookies to a few nursing homes in the community to bring a little something sweet to the residents. We love the opportunity to spread positivity around but we think it’s important to be kind all year long!
Hearts are an important symbol for this month not just for Valentine’s Day but because it’s American Heart Month, too! It’s so important for people, especially women who are more commonly affected, to know the warning signs of heart disease. We want all our patients to be happy and healthy!
We hope this month brings your family love and kindness. Have a wonderful February!
